G-Launcher was born out of a passion for free software and privacy, bringing the interface known from GNOME Shell directly to your current phone.

As a long-time Linux user, I believe the future belongs to systems that respect our privacy and are free from ubiquitous trackers. By observing the development of projects like GNOME Mobile and postmarketOS, I decided to create a tool that allows everyone to experience how working with a "Linux-style" phone could look in everyday use.

Important Information (Work in Progress)

Please note that G-Launcher is in its intensive development phase (Beta). Due to Android system limitations, not every GNOME Shell feature can be replicated 1:1, but I am constantly working to make the experience as faithful to the original as possible.
